Warm winter dishes

As the weather gets cold and stormy, there is nothing like a spicy dish to warm you from the inside out.
A hearty dish of lentils, cooked with winter squash, onions, and garlic, is just the thing. Spiced with "Hot Hot Maroc", this vegetarian dish is anything but bland. It can be served with french bread and aearn vegetable salad. Or you can serve it as a side dish, with roast chicken or lamb.

Ras el Hanout

Ras el Hanout is the quintessential Moroccan spice mix.  The name is "top of the shop", each spice merchant would have their own personal blend of up to 30 spices and herbs.
Our blend is in the Marrakech style, with all certified organic ingredients.

Ras el Hanout is used in couscous and tagines.  The blend works well for vegetarian dishes, giving a lift to lentils and roasted vegetables. The complex flavors work beautifully as a marinade for chicken or lamb.
